HISTORY
FOUNDED IN
1979
The Texas Wranglers continue today as the premier service and social organization on UT’s campus. Our founder, Kevin J. Lilly, had a vision of forming an organization of men who worked hard every day to be the best versions of themselves that they could be.
More than forty-four years later, the Texas Wranglers continue to push the organization forward through service to the Austin community, by working hard in the classroom and competing in sports and competitions.
TODAY
Today, we continue to uphold the vision of our founders through our actions. We directly help out the Austin community through the relationships we’ve built with Easterseals Lonestar and Habitat for Humanity
The organization has taken big steps forward in its relationship with Texas Basketball, as we have a designated section for the Wranglers at the Moody Center every home game. We are always striving to improve ourselves, the conditions of those around us, and our organization.
FIRESIDE LOUNGE
In the fall of 2011, a room inside the Student Activity Center was named after our organization. The Texas Wranglers Fireside Lounge serves as a community room for students and faculty at the University of Texas at Austin. This is on way that the Texas Wranglers have been able to give back to the university and one way we show our support as Texas Longhorns.
